Mount Rinjani is considered a challenging and physically demanding climb due to steep inclines, loose volcanic scree, and long hiking hours (6–8 hours per day). However, it is entirely achievable for beginners with a good level of basic physical fitness and cardiovascular stamina. We highly recommend our 4 Days 3 Nights Leisure package for a more relaxed pace and better acclimatization.

You only need to pack your personal belongings in a small daypack (around 20-30L). Essential items include:

• A warm jacket, windbreaker, and thermal layers (temperatures near the summit drop to 5°C – 0°C).
• Sturdy trekking shoes with good grip and thick hiking socks.
• Headlamp/torch (crucial for the 3:00 AM summit attack).
• Personal medication, sunblock, sunglasses, and a trekking pole.

Note: All heavy camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, pillows, cooking utensils) is fully provided and carried by our Rinjani porter service.

The official Mount Rinjani National Park trekking season opens from April 1st to December 31st. The absolute best time to climb is during the dry season, from July to September, when the weather is stable, the skies are crystal clear, and trail conditions are safest. The park is closed from January to March due to heavy monsoon rains and safety maintenance.

Yes, absolutely! The National Park Authority (TNGR) enforces a strict daily quota for hikers to preserve the eco-tourism environment. Slots fill up months in advance during the peak season (July–August). When you book a Rinjani trekking package with us, we handle the entire official registration and ticket booking process for you automatically.

You definitely won’t go hungry! Our talented mountain chefs prepare 3 fresh, hot meals daily right at the campsites. The menu features a delicious mix of local Indonesian favorites (Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Curry, Gado-Gado) and international options (pancakes, toasts, fruits, tea, and coffee). Unlimited bottled mineral water is provided throughout the entire trek. We also accommodate Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free diets upon request.

There are no public indoor toilets on the trail. However, Rinjani Gate Trekking provides a private toilet tent at every campsite for your group’s exclusive comfort and privacy. Inside the tent, we set up a clean, portable toilet system, complete with toilet paper and antiseptic spray.

Sembalun Route: Starts at a higher elevation (1,050m) through open savanna grasslands. It provides the most direct and popular access to the Sembalun Crater Rim and the 3,726m summit.

Senaru Route: Starts at 600m through lush, shaded tropical rainforests. It is less steep initially but involves climbing a lot of tree roots. This route offers the best panoramic views of Segara Anak Lake from the Senaru Crater Rim.

Yes! All our packages are all-inclusive. We provide complimentary private pick-up transport from Lombok International Airport (LOP), Bangsal Harbor, Senggigi, or Kuta Lombok. We also include a 1-night stay at a comfortable local hotel in Senaru or Sembalun the night before your trek starts, ensuring you are well-rested.

To secure your national park entrance tickets and professional guides, we require a secure 25% deposit upon booking via Bank Transfer or PayPal. The remaining balance can be paid in cash (USD or IDR) upon your arrival in Lombok. Deposits are non-refundable because National Park tickets are strictly issued under your name and cannot be rescheduled or refunded by the government.
