A1: No. This package only climbs to the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m). You will get a complete, breathtaking view of the summit from across the crater, but you will not climb it. If your main goal is to stand on the absolute peak, you must book our 2D1N Sembalun Summit or 3D2N packages.

Can we hike down to Segara Anak Lake and the hot springs on this package?
A2: No. Due to the 2-day time constraint, this itinerary remains on top of the Senaru Crater Rim. Descending to the lake and climbing back up takes an additional 6 hours, which is only possible on our 3-day or 4-day multi-day itineraries.

Is the Senaru route easier than the Sembalun route?
A3: Yes, in terms of temperature and trail conditions. The Senaru trail is heavily shaded by a tropical rainforest canopy, protecting you from the blazing sun. It also has no slippery, loose volcanic sand scree, making the hike much steadier and easier on your feet.
